I might be crazy for spending so much money on
these shoes. I've been looking for the perfect non-fringe-y moccasins all year, and I fell in love with these the first time I saw them. I searched high and low for something cheaper with the same simple shape and soft suede but never found it. So last week in a fit of obsession I ran down to my basement, grabbed piles of old clothes that I don't wear any more, and drove myself to a local second hand shop. The money I earned from selling my clothes was exactly equal to the price of these shoes. Sometimes fashion makes me so desperate that I suddenly develop a little ingenuity. Now if only I could come up with a plan to obtain the perfect trench coat.

I love mocs, and I love your scarf. Great look!
i'm so impressed that you managed to make enough from your clothing to be able to buy the mocs! they'll be perfect for spring/summer...
smart lady. i bought a new bag with my shop money. i think its time to break it out.
i love how you turned your unused clothing into $$. the mocks are cool and look comfy.
They're great! What second-hand shop is that? I could use some new...something. haha. :)
i know, erica! i had four trash bags full of clothes from years ago. nice stuff, but just stuff that maybe never fit me right or looked that great on me. i don't buy as much stuff as i used to.
hannah, can't wait to see your new bag!
brighton early, it's arizona trading company on westport rd.
wow, I feel like I'm on a total Jenny Gordy wavelength here: I've been eyeing mocs of virtually the same style on urban. All that's holding me back is a.) I'm torn between driving mocs and some minnetonka boots and b.) suede ANYTHING (but particularly footwear) is a foolish choice for Seattleites.
And re: the Isabel Marant top, I've been drooping over the dress in the same fabric. It has me wanting to smock some sari silk, but I know it'll just shred and break my heart...
oh i love them! you are clever :)
love the shoes. love the outfit! and hurrah for crazy-fashion-selling/purging impulses that result in amazing new shoes. lol!! :D
I love them! Good for you, that is some very good rationalizing there.
Ah,the APC mocassins! I bought them too, after searching everywhere around town for cheaper versions and not finding anything. It was the first time I spent so much on a pair of shoes, but they do look great...
You look cute in your new mocs. And the nonfringey mocs are the way to go. ;)
It is always great to buy shoes. And these are special.
they are perfectly simple and sort of free, right?:)
where did you get that lovely scarf?!?
These are great! Good buy.
Oh, I have never regretted anything I ever bought at APC. The madras email came today and I just jumped. One shirt, but what a shirt.
After you started wearing the gingham scarf from GAP, I looked everywhere for it, but they were gone. Sigh.
You have a lovely style.
Where there's a will there's a way (especially if it involves shoes!).
I know I'm a little late commenting, but thanks for the tip. I love APC. Although I'm not aways able to swallow the price. I just purchased these http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/35404134/c/352.html.
