Remember this Built By Wendy pattern? Since the armholes and sleeves are a little too tight for some people (even people with thin arms it seems) and summer is right around the corner, wouldn't it be nice to make a cap sleeve version instead? Above I've posted the instructions from my old blog. Also, if you want the peter pan collar tutorial, print it out now because I'm taking down my old blog within the next couple of weeks.

Great tutorial. This is actually one of the BBW patterns I don't have. I have had some trouble with sizing with these patterns as the body always comes out too big and the armholes too small.
I wish I'd found this a week ago! I just made some gathered sleeves on a dress, modifying the pattern I was using. Considering I can barely follow a pattern, I was pretty happy I didn't make a total mess just by winging it. Next time, I'll use this method. (I doubt I could reproduce what I did, since I didn't know what I was doing!)
Thank you! I think I am ready to graduate from pattern 3835...but I had heard this one was tight in odd places. You've eased my mind about trying it with your simple sleeve alteration.

question - does the 1/4" extension continue down past the perpendicular line on the notches to the edges?

Great tutorial! I may have to resurrect this pattern, learn how to do an FBA and then go for the cap sleeves. I think this could take it from bleh to wearable.
