no more braces!

After one torturous year, I finally got my braces off yesterday! I snapped these photos as I was driving away. Then I ate some caramels and enjoyed them immensely. (Thank you, Claire!) I feel like a whole new woman.

When I had my braces off, I remember my teeth feeling very clean and slippery. I was in an automatic smile because my lips had no friction! I loved it.

Congrats!

i had braces twice while growing up, and guess what, i need them again! can't wait to have a job with dental coverage...

oooo, the thought of enjoying their removal so thoroughly almost (almost) makes me want braces again. almost.

Wow - you were beautiful before, but you look gorgeous with your new smile! It feels so awesome to get them off. I got mine off the day before my senior prom, and I couldn't stop running my tongue over my teeth!

I need them very badly, I have the worst teeth ever! You inspire me that braces don't look ridiculous on people over 16!

when i got mine off a few years ago i was just so happy to be able to bite into a sandwich, that and finally be done with my hideous fangs. . .

Lucky! I keep mine for another year, although that hasn't stopped me from eating a caramel every once in awhile. :P Your teeth look great!

By the way, did you have to wear a bite plane? If not, you're very lucky! When my orthodontist gave me mine he said, "Grace, you are going to love this thing...it will change your life!" (yeah, he's got a real...dry...sense of humor. Anyway, I replied to that with, "Stho, how long will it be before I sthound like a normal persthon when I'm talking?"

Fortunately, the lisp went away after awhile. :)
Congrats again on your new smile! You give me hope that someday mine will come off too!
