wiksten remix

Uniqlo henley
Wiksten "Tova" shirt
Wiksten "Alison" skirt
Corso Como boots

This is me proving that you can mix and match Wiksten pieces from different seasons. I felt compelled to blog the photos where I'm actually looking into the camera, but you can see outtakes here. See what happens when I actually look into the camera? I look either mean (top) or scary (bottom). Oh well, I tried. And got a bunch of bug bites. I think it's the first time I've been outside for more than one minute in a month. Joe's been gone for almost two months! And when he's not here I sort of turn into a hermit. But the good news is that I'm going to visit him this weekend in Portland, Oregon, where he's doing a med school rotation. I'm SO excited. Our six year dating anniversary is on Saturday (First date? art museum), and we're going out for a fancy shmancy dinner.

Oh! You'll be in Portland?? We'll be having some lovely sunny and hot weather for you! (It has turned out to be an indian summer). I could give you a whole list of things to see and do...but I won't because I bet you've already got your own list.
:) Have fun! Happy anniversary!

I must say though, when I read your comments about thinking that you look "mean" or "scary" when you look at the camera (which I must add you don't in the least), I had a little laugh, and read it to my husband (who was also amused)--as only the other day he was looking through some photos on our camera and came across a number of ones that I had taken of myself, but had forgotten to delete. Well, some of them were just frightening. He made comments like, "Some of these look like things that you would send someone you were stalking. You'd write something on the back like, 'I'm watching you!'." And truly, they did look like something that a nutter would send someone.

For some reason when I am taking a picture of myself (which is usually done for the sake of seeing how my outfit looks that day or how I've done my hair or make-up (yeah, pretty vain ;-)) I always seem to get the "deer in headlights" look. Not very flattering, but they sure make for a good laugh!

Needless to say, you do not look like a stalker nor a deer in the headlights nor scary nor mean in your photos. Aren't we all our own worst critics? You are truly lovely in all of your photos. :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!

oh, Jenny, you're beautiful. As ever. Don't you see that?

Have fun in PDX - you should definitely hit up Powell's while you're there (and the Alberta area - I think you would LOVE it)! We're headed there for a wedding next month and we're already making plans for what we'll do with our one-day visit.

Hi, I had to delurk to say that I completely empathise with your 'hermiting' when Joe's away. My fiance is also frequently away for work (and is away for a month or two at the moment too) and I do the exact same thing. We are both doctors and I have to say that medicine totally sucks in that way - sometimes we hardly get to spend even a few seconds with each other! My Dad is also a doctor, and my mum always says that she raised us as a single mum, and I can now really see what she meant by that. Anyway, just wanted to say that it was nice to read your post, cos I could really relate to it - sitting here eating toast for dinner! Oh! and also should add that I LOVE your blog.

I've been following your blog for a really long time now but not left a comment. But i feel compelled to say WELCOME to Portland!! (i know you're not here yet but soon) I hope you and Joe have a fabulous time... There are so many yummy restaurants to visit. I live in the Pearl District (NW portland) and there are so many great restaurants in that area. The weather is going to be fabulous this weekend too. PS. since i'm here i should say that I'm loving your fall line and all the pictures, again, are beautiful. Bravo Jenny!! You are so talented.

I too am one of your blog followers and I live in Portland. I admire your work and think that its great that you are doing what you love. You fall line is so beautiful and your hard work has paid off.

Have fun with your hubby in Portland. If you really want to fancy schmancy it up ($$$$)go to Lucier. I know the chef and the food and service is impecable.

I hear you about being a hermit when the hubby is gone - my hubby frequently travels to Dubai. In fact he is there now. But if I decide to venture out - I go shopping and spend way too much money.
