back to business as usual

I'm sorry, I have not felt like blogging lately. It's not that things are bad. Things are good actually. Joe and I are doing well, and we have new opportunities coming in. It's just that processing all this stuff has left my mind in a confusion, and I haven't been feeling eloquent enough to put it into the right words so far. We have some decisions to make, and when our plans solidify I'll post updates. But for now, I really just don't want to talk about this anymore! I'm going to ignore it for a while.

So, onto more interesting stuff....like fashion. Haha. Elly made me this dress and sent it to me. The red wool tights were also part of her gift. I like them because they're not shockingly bright red. They're classy red, dark and a little heathered. So I finally incorporated red tights into an outfit.

I'm glad your back, I have been following your blog for a couple of months now and really enjoy it. I have even decided to try it for myself and started my own blog.

What a great outfit. Looks fantastic with the red tights- I've actually been wanting some but couldn't find a good shade.
Also, glad you're back!

This is just so cute. I LOVE red and blue together—all shades of red and blue. Every time I come home from the fabric store, I’ve got a pile of prints and solids with reds and blues. Yesterday I was at the yarn store and the lady who rung me up observed that my two selections (yes, you know what they were) matched my striped handbag from Target. You get the idea. Nice to see you back in this space a little. Elly did a lovely job on this dress.

very glad to hear that you guys are making the most of the situation. sometimes it really takes a while to process, give your self plenty of time. I love the dress and tights--wool and red, my fave! Can you ask Elly where she got them? a perfect valentine to myself!

welcome back! PLEASE, talk about fashion. i love winter, but my wardrobe might start to get a little boring here. i'm running out of ideas.

those tights are smartwool and i got them at a woolen shop close to where i live, but i'm sure if you did some digging, you could find them online. i couldn't find a link to post, but i can keep looking.

Really nice dress! I wear bright red leggings with the denim Haeshu(?) dress I got from you a couple of collections ago. They go so well together.
(Sorry I can't remember the name of the dress!)

that's a great outfit. i've been trying to incorporate a pair of turquoise tights into an outfit for over a year, with no luck. your combo is perfect.

I'm a big fan of you, your blog, and red tights. Just wanted to say that it's so good to hear things are looking up.

You look adorable. There's a shirt right now at target, same color and cut as the dress you are wearing. Along the same concept, looks really cute with a cozy red scarf, if you like the blue and red combo. I wear both with dark jeans. (talking clothes, ah, love it.)

So good to have you back, Jenny. The dress and tights from Elly look so cute on you, especially with those boots!

Oh, and in case you have a Gap Outlet in your area, they're selling a scarf very similar to your blue and white buffalo checked scarf. They've got a red version and a yellow version as well, if you're interested. I really wanted the blue, but surprisingly the yellow looked much better on me (if I say so myself)!

I hope you and Joe have a great weekend!

Fantastic! Great to see you back and you look great, as per usual. That Elly is a good friend! Yes, even when times are tough, we always have fashion :)

Not many people can pull off a dress like that and you do fabulously! You remind me kind of Kirsten Dunst in that outfit.

Also, I'm glad to hear that you're starting to things back in order. Hope to see more posts from you soon :)

I've been reading your blog for a while now and have to chime in. I love your beautiful clothes and I wanted you to know that I relate to the processing.

My husband's in residency and I remember the stress and uncertainty of not knowing where we were going. I'm glad you are doing well and hope that time will help clear the clouds of confusion.

I love the red tights!

Well, that's a relief. I guess I shouldn't have been so worried about someone I don't know.

You look very cute, but your eyes bring me sadness. I hope you are feeling better. It is never fun to have too much to process. I can multi-task, but only to a point...I don't like stress, but it seems lately that we all have too much to handle.
