kaari pullover

I finally finished knitting my Kaari pullover just in time for the snow storm we had over the weekend. In true Kansas style, everything melted and we have sun again one day later. The pattern I used is by Norah Gaughan, and I love it. I wish I would have made one size smaller because it's a tad too big, but it is very comfy. My obsession with knitting has reached new heights, and I've already started my next project. Oh, and I have a new knitting group with my sister Mindy and sister-in-law June! We knitted together while watching The Incredibles on Friday. I also taught Joe how to knit, and sometimes we knit together while watching Deadwood. Don't tell anyone! Haha. He's going to be a surgeon, so it's good practice for improving dexterity, right?

Because of your gorgeous sweater I started looking up different patterns and books. You are putting me in trouble. I might start with a hat first. GREAT JOB!

That is the cutest ever. I have an ex who knit, it was really really fun. He loved all the scrappy leftovers from my stash, it was perfect!

Your Kaari looks GREAT and Norah and I can't believe this is your second sweater. Good going, you!

Your sweater looks great! Should we expect a knitwear line from you in the future? ;)

I think guys who knit are hot. And I think it's super cute that you guys knit together. I wish my husband would let me teach him to knit.

at first i actually couldn't stand all of the cursing, and vulgarity but deadwood definitely grew on me. we watched the series last year and i really liked it in hindsight.

this sweater is so fantastic. im in shock and awe at your talents for whipping these beauties up as fast as you do.

im joining a new knitting group at a favorite cafe spot next week. hope i have similar results with my projects :)

You're so clever! I love the pullover, and the colour is so lovely and perfectly knit. Fancy being a beginner and making something like this. I tried to knit a hat last year and concluded I was too impatient to be a knitter. Your pullover makes me want to have another go.

Turned out really cute ! I have this on my queue so seeing yours finished really makes me want to start one for myself :)

That looks FANTASTIC! I'm super-impressed. It doesn't look too big at all, actually. And, if it makes you feel better, I've been knitting for 9 years and still have the "wish I'd knit a size smaller" problem. And, on that note of confidence w/my knitting skills, I'd like to mention that I'm part of a (very small) knitting group in Brooklyn and I'm sure we'd love to have you join us when you have to leave your lovely group in Kansas.

such a great sweater! wish I had your talent.

That's hilarious! David knitted while on call his intern year! He eventually had to quit because he claimed it was making his wrists hurt, but the attendings found it pretty amusing.
