plaid market top

I'm really excited about this top! I think it's the fabric. I would love anything in this fabric. In my opinion, it's the most perfect shirting fabric, lightweight with a nice drape yet crisp at the same time. I tried this on, and I want to keep it. But it's not the right size for me, so into the shop it goes!

Elly is coming to Brooklyn tomorrow for the first time. She's been in Connecticut with her husband's family, and it didn't really work out with my schedule to see her until now. (Also, my cold is gone, and it stopped raining, yay!) But I am SO excited. I don't even know if I'll be able to sleep tonight. It's like Christmas. So I went to the store today to stock up on cleaning supplies, and I'm going to spend the whole rest of the day and evening cleaning the crap out of my apartment. I'm really looking forward to doing it, and I'm not even joking. I just want it to look really nice when she gets here.

On my way back from the store I got stopped on the street by one of my blog readers again. I was a little stunned to say much, and I think she was afraid of me because she ran away! But if you're reading this, girl on the street, thank you. You were so nice. I wish I could have gotten two words out of my mouth to talk to you a little more.

Jenny you are such a celebrity! I will be looking around Sunday night at dinner to see if anyone is staring at you, secretly pining for your autograph.

And this shirt is perfection, I love the fabric. Snatched up already I see.

Oh darn, Jenny. The shirt's snapped up already! It's gorgeous. I enjoy your blog updates as well, and feel like I know you because of it. I am sure that if I ran into you on the street, I would be tongue tied and not know what to say.

Big fan from Vancouver, Canada!

Oh man, I have been this girl when I ran into another woman whose blog I read. But it was me who was tongue-tied and stunned. Is there any good way to start the conversation without somehow feeling like a stalker? Because it was so strange to meet someone whom you know tons about and they know nothing about you...

have a wonderful time with elly!! i know what you mean about cleaning: the only time I love doing it is when I am making our place nice for a special visitor, then its really fun!

Jenny, I was so disappointed to miss both of your shop updates! The market top in chambray is so beautiful and I am crossing my fingers you will make more soon. I just love the clean structure and perfection of your clothing. I don't know if you are still in the market for jeans, but I was in Filene's Basement on 6th Ave. and 20th today and they had tons of J Brand, Rock & Republic, Paige, Sevens, etc. Have an AMAZING time with Elly!!!

From the girl who thought she scared you today:

It's no big deal. I was so nervous to talk to you...nervous I was bothering you, which is why I "ran away" more than anything. I just moved to the city a few days ago and it's all pretty overwhelming and exciting and it was kind of neat to see a familiar face, even if it was in a strange sort of way.

Do you think you might make some of your things in plus size? I know that upsizing a pattern takes a lot of work, but I always love what you post but my body takes larger sizes than what you usually have in your shop. :)

I would love to know where you find your fabric. Your shop sells out so quickly and I am inspired by your work. Thanks!!
