Thank you so much, everyone!

I got the ankle boots from the Boden website 3 or 4 years ago, and they no longer have them. You could try ebay though!

I first spied that outfit when you posted a picture of elly sitting on a hammock a while back. I immediately clicked on the photo to take a closer look and admire that dress. At the time, I assumed that it was from elly's closet, but am so happy to learn that it's your design so that there's the chance, albeit slim, that i may sport it. it really is an outstanding piece.

kelly said...

wowsers! the dress is beautiful and the photos of elly are magical. very exciting to see a new season through your work of art. Xx

marcia said...

Darling and charming - I especially love that first picture - her pose reminds me of a teddy bear:)

Laura K said...

Oh gosh - this is just perfect for fall in Texas. I love the striped fabric and the high waist. The draping and darts are perfect! I am a clothing buyer for a group of stores in Texas so I get to see A LOT of dresses - but this is the best one I have seen in a while! Good job!

julia kirsten said...

Beautiful collar, love the stripes - I just got similar fabric recently and can't wait to make something out of it! Look forward to seeing the rest of your collection!

What beautiful lines on the collar and in the bust area. Unfortunately, this dress would make me look quite preggers so I'll just have to admire it from afar, as usual.

Hej! Jag har följt din blogg ett tag nu och tycker det är så kul att komma hit och bli inspirerad!
Denna klänningen var underbar! När har du sådana till försäljning och vad skulle den i så fall kosta? Jag gillar din klädstil!
Må så gott!

So cute. Next time, you update your shop...do you think you could do it in the evening (like around 8pm EST) as I'm in central time and I cannot check the net @ work and want a piece but always miss the update. I'd appreciate you trying this out. Thanks!

Another question...loved the samma necklace. Do you seriously buy from all these stores? I think I'd be broke, but I think if you are living in NY now...you should go find a job as a style editor -- you'd be amazing @ it.

spinne said...

I have been reading your blog for a long time - but never commented. But this dress needs a comment! Its really great, I love it!

Erin said...

Bigger sizes, please!! Do you custom? I love your creations, but they are tiny!

haters, hate on. some people think they're god's gift to man when they are really a cockroach on the sidewalk.

viva la jenny! :)

i am in the great majority who appreciates your blog. hopefully these grossly misplaced hateful comments do not change what you share with us. it is a privilege to post comments, to bad some abuse this.

love the dress so much. thanks for the preview.

Maggie said...

Oh my goodness, these are gorgeous! Thank you for creating things of such loveliness--and for having the fortitude to wade through all of the crap that the internet can throw out.

melissa said...

absolutely beautiful. both model and dress.

Anna Spencer said...

Hi jenny. Ive never commented before but have been reading your blog for ages! i really like this dress, its so pretty. Shame I live in the Uk which just takes too long and too much money to ship to!

Loni said...

That dress is amazing! The lines and the buttons... i can't wait to prance around bk wearing it!!

jen said...

were you inspired by the top I bought in london last autumn? I noticed you had peaked at the photo I had posted quite a bit, and I see some similarities. Looks lovely, regardless.

Mortadella said...

Hi Jenny,

I hope you don't let the trolls out there get to you. There are a lot of us strangers out here that really enjoy your blog. To peek into your life (which to a lot of us is fabulous) is a nice little respite during the day.

Please keep at it. Your popularity must be evident by how quickly you sell out.

Some people will do anything just to make themselves feel as if they wield power; don't let them get you down.

By the way, one of the comments above was left in Swedish, and its quite nice. The subsequent comment devoid of creativity is not related.

=)

The collar, the raised waist, the placket, the fabric choice - everything is perfect. You just keep amazing me with your balanced design eye

Neko said...

That's an awesome dress! I really admire your stuff, and the top you posted which caused such controversy is also lovely. I totally agree with you making your own, why spend all that cash when you can enjoy making it yourself? Every piece of art is inspired by things we have already seen. xo

M said...

the styling in that second shot is tops! not what i would have imagined, just looking at the dress, but it works so well. can't wait to see the rest...
