time to clean out the closet

Every season I go through my closet and sort through my things.  I like to be organized and well-edited at all times, so I try to get rid of the items that I just don't wear.  I've decided this season to open up an Ebay shop and sell whatever I'm removing from my closet.  It's kind of sad because i really like this stuff, but most of it is just too small for me now and not comfortable anymore.  When I hit 28, my metabolism kind of slowed down, and although I eat healthy and exercise, I've gone up a size.  I'm fine with it--that's just life, but it kind of sucks that some of my favorite things don't fit me anymore.  So here's a link to my shop.  Hopefully some of you will be able to enjoy the items I've treasured in the past.  By the way, there are shoes too!  The shoes fit me, but I'm selling them because I never wear heels.  Some of these might not show up in my shop yet even though I've listed them because I guess it takes Ebay awhile to group all the things together.

I just went through my closet as well. editing is good. I'd love to benefit from your edit, but alas if they don't fit you, they won't fit me . . .

sigh. I, too, seem to have gone up a size since baby. Oddly, I'm back to my pre-preg weight, but let's just say that my bust and waist measurements aren't quite the same! I've just decided that I should practice my pattern making skills and design myself a new wardrobe. In the meantime ... I'll wear loose shirts!

argh, me too, what is it about 28? Like all of a sudden too. It might make me a brat, but I really thought I'd have a few more years before this started happening.....lame.

You have no idea how excited I am that we're the same size shoe! If someone outbids me on those I'm going to hunt them down and....ah just kidding! Not really.

you're so good about cleaning out your closet. Leon + turning 29 has made things challenging for me, too. we'll see if i'm ready to let go of a few things...

Yes! That happened to me at 25. Completely unexpected, frustrating, disorienting. It's probably good for our characters, but it is unsettling to have to reassess the clothes you came to rely on.

Wait til you see what happens when you turn 35. They don't call it middleage spread for nothing. :)

yay! Love your stuff. Love flickr for bringing me to the blog and then to the ebay page. Hopefully the stars will align for a winning bid. I really need the shoes!

Those black shoes are the bees knees. If you think you are having trouble now, wait till you get pregnant and your feet permanently grow in size. I have just sold a few of my nicest pairs, including my only two pais of repettos.

Oh boy I'd love those Oxfords. I am wishing my feet were just a tiny bit bigger.

Yep, I went up from highschool to now, but 40 lbs wasn't too bad (95 lbs to 130ish). Oh, well. I wish I had bigger feet, but I bet you wish you had smaller ones eh? My sister wears a 9 though-- hmm.
