i love socks

Until I learn to knit my own, these ought to keep me cheery on cold autumn days.

the rachel comey boots look great paired with those socks! there is nothing that makes me happier than puttering around the apartment in thick wool socks and a hot water bottle.

i love your socks and shoes, especially the first pair. i love my argyles and stripes, but those fair isles are divine.

I dream of making all my socks too. But it's only a dream. Those socks you have are pretty nice.

love love love all the shoes! where did you get them? did you see these socks on ravelry? must make. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-bumblebee-socks

GF,

No, the oxfords aren't Zeha Berlin. Although that's funny, because now that I posted a photo of them, I realize that I already own shoes similar to those boots I wanted! I got them a couple of years ago from a shoe website.

Danica,

The clogs are by a Swedish brand called Troentorp Bastad. I got them last year for a photo shoot. They are supposed to be comfortable, but I have trouble walking in them! I still wear them though.

Nice socks! very comfy n warm. You have a nice and popular blog. I would like to know what's your secret. How you made it a blog read by thousands? Please do me this favor.

Did you buy the Comey's?!! Oh swoon, I am so jealous.

jenny gordy said...

Kate,

Yep! Whenever I am dying for an expensive pair of shoes, I just sell all my clothes. : )

Besides, it's your fault! You started it with your Rachel Comey wedges.

hi! sorry to delurk to ask a practical question (seems so rude, but i have followed and loved your blog for a long time, really!) - how is the sizing on the penpal boots? i've heard both that they run a bit large and that they run a bit small...

jenny gordy said...

jchuong,

it depends on the width of your feet. my feet are normal width, and the comeys run narrow. i am normally a 9, and i had to get a 9 1/2 for a comfortable fit. if you have narrow feet, i would say they are true to size.

jchuong said...

oh...disappointment! but i think you've probably saved me a lot of shipping and handling charges...better luck next time - thanks! (jenn)
