a new year

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday time.  I enjoyed the sun in Mexico and then got snowed in in Kansas, all within the same week!  It was great though.  But when Joe and I finally got back to Brooklyn, I didn't get to attend any New Year's Eve parties because I came down with the flu.  I had planned on being back to work and blogging last week, but I was sick for the whole first week of the year.  Blerg.  At least I got a lot of knitting done!  Photos soon to come...

So sorry you were under the weather Jenny, especially on NYE! I can't wait to see some of the knitting you were able to produce even when hit by the flu.

A belated Happy New Year to you and Joe!

I found your blog a few weeks ago (we both made Alicia Paulson's ornaments and I found you through the Flickr group) and really enjoy it. I also got snowed in in Kansas - was beautiful, wasn't it? Anyway... I also look forward to seeing the knitting projects. Happy New Year!

I love your cat in a basket--so fluffy. You were not alone in new year's eve sickness. My friend got a bacterial infection from December 30-January 7.

I love how the hymnal on the piano is open to "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing". When I'm not sewing, I'm a church pianist, and that's one of my favorite hymns!

Hi Jenny,
i discovered your blog a while ago - and am in the process of sewing my 2nd tulip skirt next week! I love your approach, your sense of style and designs. Anyways, wanted to let you know that i awarded you the 'honest scrap' award. There is no obligation what so ever - but even though it might be intimidating, it's actually fun! Thanks for being such an inspiration! Daniela
