winter whites

photo from elle.com

There's something a little crazy about this outfit, which is maybe why I like it so much.  It's part of Alice Ritter's fall 2010 collection.  What fascinates me about it is that I would never think to put these elements together--white dress + white tights + white shoes.  White tights are something I haven't worn since I was a little girl, but I've seen people wearing them lately in really cute ways.  I'm always wearing white dresses with my white Chucks in the spring and summer (sneakers make the look less precious), so maybe I need to throw some white tights into the mix for winter and fall.

I'm also loving those glasses.  They remind me of Erica.

Looks cute on her, but nope, can't do it. Reminds me too much of my nursing school uniform ;)

I love this outfit. The chucks are a perfect touch as they often are.

yeah, jennifer, i hear you. part of me loves this outfit, but part of me thinks there is something wrong with it. i was thinking the same thing...too nurse? too little girl? i don't know. it does look cute on her though. i don't know if i could pull it off or not.

Jenny, you could pull just about anything off because you are so darn beautiful! But in no way would I be able to do this: I'm too messy, and it seriously gives me horrible flashbacks to my nursing school cotton-poly uniform!

Hi Jenny! I have just posted my attempt at making your tulip skirt in the 'wiksten pattern' pool on flickr and I wore white Falke tights with it when I took the photo. I like wearing them because it gives a great contrast to all my dark winter clothes and they're super warm. But now I'm really nervous - what if I've made it all look really school-girly?
p.s. I like the look of the white-on-white too and I reckon you'd totally rock it.
