my dream spring wardrobe
My passionate love for anything Steven Alan clearly knows no bounds. These are the spring pieces that I'm dying to buy, and I swear I really did narrow it down. It's just that each Steven Alan piece that I already have in my closet is a favorite. His clothes are infinitely wearable. They're comfortable, perfectly simple, and effortlessly stylish. Whenever I don't want to think about an outfit, I just grab for a Steven Alan top, and I'm good to go.

Wow I'd love any of these pieces. I don't know if his line is available in the UK, but if it is then I need to stay away as I'll want to buy the lot :)
jenny, you always find the best bags!
Mmmmmm... yes
I am in total agreement. I always want everything Steven Alan-wise... I think I'd go with the red skirt though... perfect.
I especially love the red skirt, it's just made for tan bare legs and gladiator sandals.
Yes, SA spells trouble. The red skirt is especially great. I've seen pretty good iterations of the striped dress, although in top version, at F21. Not the same, but it gives me a fix for $12.
I'm the same way - I don't know what I'd do without my Steven Alan shirts.
I'm really hoping they have a spring sample sale (and just FYI - I have found several of his shirts (including a Liberty print reverse seam) with the tags still on at Housing Works Thrift Shop on the UWS - $30!)
Jenny, since I know you can sew (REALLY sew) does it bother you that the pieces are so simple? Why buy, when you could easily and quickly duplicate each of these pieces? I've always wondered when reading other clothing makers describe their own clothing purchases. thanks.
Exactly. I wait for his shirts to pop up on gilt groupe (this happens about every two months or so) and then I grab a few for $38 each - and I wear them ALL the time. And they are so so perfect when you are lazy and don't feel like putting a lot of effort in - and for me that is most of the time ;)
my favorite is the purple boyfriend shirt. If I had the money I'd buy that too.
i love all these pieces!
I JUST LOVE that striped T SHIRT!!

Jenny,
Love your selections as always. Especially the purple ikat-ish shirt,
red skirt, and striped dress.
Agree with lsaspacey. You could make all of this- (J. Gordy- the next Steven Alan) but I also know how much time it can take to design & sew something. Sometimes it's just easier to buy!
xo
NOW that is a fab spring wardrobe! perfection! you have such excellent taste!
that bag...yes please!
xo Alison
they are all so great! I just don't understand who affords them . . .? clearly out of my league.
Love the red skirt, and the blouse above it! The two would be perfect together with some gladiators and a braided belt. Ewlala!
I love love love all of these! I definitely agree. Especially the pretty wispy, floral tank top and cute naval bag :)
