sleeveless button downs

Left: Bodkin, Right: Rachel Comey, both from Frances May.

I'm really loving sleeveless button downs for spring, whether in top or dress form.  They're just so casual and practical yet still very chic.  I designed one as well for my own spring collection, which I hope to have ready some time in April.  I've been working my butt off, so hopefully I'll get it done soon!  Until then I can just swoon over these adorable pieces.

Also love the Bodkin dress! I've been searching "shirt dress" all over the internet this past week, and that dress is pretty perfect. The model's expression is also priceless.

I think sleeveless button down shirts are so uniquely feminine, but also super cleancut and practical. I loved your Kate button down top from Summer '08 and can't wait to see what you come up with button down wise for this spring's collection! So excited that you'll be making more striped dresses too.

By the way, that was such a cute blog exchange between you and Julia of Rennes. She seems so sweet from her blog posts, and her bags are divine. It was fun to see how you admire each other's work.

Love the ombré effect on that bottom one. And the way it's styled with the clutch and red lips - very chic.
