I was a bit absent from this space last week mainly because I took ill from sunstroke. I enjoyed a fabulous Fourth of July with friends and then a trip to the beach the next day, but all of it was outside in 95+ degree weather. Like an idiot, I forgot to drink any water. As a result, I was pretty sick for a couple of days. I think I learned my lesson. I sometimes do.
This week I'm fully back into the swing of things, and at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'm so busy! I have a few pretty exciting things coming up that I need to prepare for, but more on that later. The important thing to say is that next week I'll be having one last summer shop update, and then all this season's stuff will be gone. Also....some of you might like this because you've been asking me for ages...I'll be selling some of my sewing patterns! Stay tuned for more info.

yay i'm so excited you'll be selling some patterns! i hate buying cheap clothes, but i don't like spending hundreds of dollars on shirts i know i could sew myself if i had a good pattern :)
Ok then I will start lerning to sew! It would also be nice if you recommended tyopes of fabric and places to buy it online, I don't know this world and some advise would be great!

Yay, Jenny! Your photos are beautiful, as always, but the news re: patterns is even better! I am very much a fan of your blog and find your style very inspiring. So, needless to say, I look forward to trying out your patterns. Sorry about the sunstroke, btw! I was visiting my sister in NY over the 4th of July, and we barely went outside that day -- I could not deal with the heat.

What great news! Glad you are feeling better and that you will be selling some patterns. The world needs more cute patterns for those of us who are too dense to draft them ourselves haha.
Oh my goodness, I am SO happy you are going to be selling some of your patterns! And, that you'll be having another shop update and I'll actually be around next week to possibly catch something beautiful.
Ugh on the heatstroke--it is so brutally hot here, and there is nowhere for the heat to escape. My friend and I spent the better part of last week hanging out in her parents' pool, just standing in the water, drinking ice tea and talking like two old ladies from Miami. ;-) I hope that you are on the mend.

Sorry to hear about the heat stroke- that sucks! Almost did the same thing to myself when I was outside tie dyeing about a week ago.
