cancelled

Wiksten will not be participating in the Fashion's Night Out event at the Textile Arts Center tomorrow night.  It pains me to cancel, but I'm coping with the death of a very close loved one right now by taking a little time off of work.  Wish I could do it, but it's just not the right time.  I will probably still be dropping by the event in any case but just not selling my goods.

I've been thinking of you a lot the last few days. It takes courage to just take the time you need to grieve and remember your grandmother.
I'm glad you made that decision to take time for yourself.
sending you and your family good thoughts.

Hi Jenny,
I'm truly sorry to hear about your grandmother. Mine died when I was 17 and I still tear up when I think about her. Grandparents really are the best :) I just hope that I can be a small piece of her in my life.

I just read what happened over on Flickr. I am so terribly sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. May your memories of your granny help you through the sadness.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Is this the grandmother you named your clothing label after? She must've been so proud of you. My only surviving grandmother died in April this year, and she too was a nurse. I've worn one of her diamond rings on my right hand for the past ten years, and its even more special now. Taking time off is a very good thing. Look after yourself.

I noticed on flickr. I'm so sorry you've lost your grandmother. She always sounded like such a wonderful woman and such a wonderful presence in your life. You're wise for taking the time you need. I hope it's a beautiful time remembering her even as it's hard. Best to you.
