knitting and cats

something i'm working on

comfortable seymour

I've been experimenting with adding fair isle to my handmade socks--triangles in turquoise and red-orange on camel.  Also been spending more time with the cats lately.  Since I don't have a computer at work, I've been working on the sewing pattern instructions and shipping labels at home.  Can't wait to be done staring at a computer all day every day.  The cute kitties definitely make it more enjoyable though.  Seymour sure is a handsome devil, isn't he?  Too bad he knows it.

(Did I seriously just name a post "knitting and cats"?  At the age of 29 I am turning into a grandma more and more every day.)

Well the other day I was called grandma when I was knitting on my scarf (I am knitting on since 8 months) and was shaking with my head to the new stufan stevens album : )

The socks are looking great.

It seems like so many job-jobs are just all about staring at the computer all day. I envy you for not having to do that most of the time for your job!

yeah, i know what you mean. the grass is always greener. i envy people with real jobs because they actually have money! nothing's perfect, but i do enjoy the benefits of my job. big time.

In my experience, knitting and cats don't go together so well. My cat always has to save me from that EVIL YARN.

Dig the triangles! I've been drawing up some fair isle charts with geometric shapes, but I can't decide what to knit. Your socks look great.

After spending my lunch break corcheting with my glasses sitting at the end of my nose, I'm now being called Grandma at work (and I'm only 26!).
(Okay, that's not the whole story. I might have been super excited about the prospect of a raining weekend so I could spend it crocheting and made the mistake of telling my colleagues).
I think we only need to start worring about being Grandmas when we start handing out hard candy.

My fiance tells me all the time that I'm turning into a grandma. I'm so glad I'm not alone! My version is audio books and crochet. Ha. Maybe I'll blog about it (preciousobjectseverywhere.com) in tribute to your post. :)
