new socks

new socks i made

new socks i made

After making many pairs of socks for the shop and for loved ones, I finally made some just for me.  I've already worn them twice, and I've gotta say handmade socks really are the best.  So comfy and warm.  Since I'd gotten sick of knitting with the usual neutral colors I favor, I decided to make mine in crazy colors.  Totally unlike me, but totally fun.  I bought the yarn at Purl, where perusing the wild, beautiful color combinations of Koigu has become a habit for me.

Speaking of handmade socks, have you seen these?  Freaking awesome!

Oh, I love your clogs!
May I ask where did you buy them?

Those look great! I just made a colorful pair of socks from variegated yarn and totally found myself questioning it because it so didn't go with the simple, neutral colors that usually inspire me from your blog. Looks like the answer to "what would wiksten knit" just changed.

Love the colorway you chose (I'm all about the bold colors).
Any chance you'll be restocking the store with any? I'm coming to NYC in Feb and need some good, thick, warm socks- which are hard to come by in L.A.
I should just make some myself, but all of those teeny tiny stitches drive me nuts!
Love my Liberty Wool/ Cotton top BTW, thanks!

i second Chloe! I've been looking for a good knit sock pattern...I've tried a few but end up with a sock that looks like a Christmas stocking. If you have a good pattern to share that would be much appreciated!

Love your blog and your creations :)
