Spent Tuesday afternoon location scouting in Cedar Rapids with a photographer I'm working with and had a delicious cup of coffee.  I've been enjoying exploring my new surroundings and meeting new people.  The photo shoot is tentatively set for next week.  Get ready for some new Wiksten products, Iowa style.

I just realized you said Cedar Rapids. I was born there! St. Lukes Hospital.
This will be good.

I always love your winter pieces - I keep thinking back to the plaid version of the double buttoned placket shirt from a few years ago....perfection! I've worn my striped dress more than twice this week, and I know I've told you this, but each time I put in on I marvel at how the stripes all line up! Haha, I'm such a dork. I could seriously stare at finishing details all day and be happy as a clam. And I'll add another big thumbs up to Iowa style!

Oh, and I've been meaning to say for a while: I remember reading in one of your interviews that you might be making more sewing patterns in the future. Can I just say that your Market dress and shirt has been on my wardrobe inspiration list since I saw them and I would LOVE to have a chance to make my own. And that dress from the sewing class you taught? Purple version with black and white mociun leggings. LOVE. I'm really looking forward to more patterns from you as I always miss out on shop updates living in Ausralia.

Ha! I wondered if that was Anna's brother. The resemblance is definitely there!

Fun! I have not commented, but have been following your move and wondering how you are (isn't that funny! You don't even know me! anyway), can't wait to see what great stuff you come up with next.
