I love my mom. I think I got her a pretty good gift this year--a
Mother's Day card and
recipe card set from Rifle as well as the
Garden roll-on from MCMC Fragrances. (Same thing for my mother-in-law in different colors.) My new studiomate Anne owns MCMC, and I'm obsessed with Garden. I think the last time I bought perfume was over ten years ago! I don't like perfume, but Anne has totally changed my world scent-wise. I got the
sample kit first and wore each scent for a day to see how they smelled on me, and then I bought a spray bottle of
Hunter and a Garden roll-on for myself. Love them so much! I know my mom will adore Garden as well since we have quite similar scent sensibilities.

I'm sorry to have been so absent lately--I've missed my readers! My schedule has been strange. I don't have a computer at work, and Joe has been working nights and sleeping days. When I type on the computer it wakes him up, and I feel bad for him since he gets so little sleep as it is. Joe's schedule is always crazy and always changing, and we try to work hard to adjust to it. I don't always know how to fit everything in at the right time, but I'm going to try harder to make the blogging happen.
Doing bookkeeping and taxes this year took so much of my time recently, and I'm relieved to be done with it for awhile. It's the unglamorous side of my business, but I find it very satisfying to have done it myself. For me it's important to be informed about the financial side of things so I can make better decisions for my company.
Other than that I've been at work a lot lately, and my collection is almost done! Just a few more things to do. Hoping to take some photos next week.
