Downloadable Wiksten sewing patterns are finally here!  It's been a long time coming, but now you can buy files of my patterns for a cheaper price plus no shipping cost.  You don't even have to wait because you can instantly download the pattern, print it out at home, tape the pages together, and then cut out the pattern.  The files will work for A4 paper (yay, international customers!) or 8.5xll" letter paper.

Pictured above are a few of my favorites that customers have made from my patterns.  Have you seen the Wiksten Patterns group on Flickr?  Customers can join and post photos of their work made from my patterns.  It's such a fun group for sharing inspiration, and I always enjoy seeing how many cute versions there are out there.

Ah! =)
Too late for me, I recreated a tank pattern from scratch, but had to put a bust dart in... should try to replace it by cutting in the bias.

i am very happy about this possibility :)
just one question, i bought the pattern already on the 7th of march and wanted to print it out (i'm from germany) but it is not a4? where can i find the a4-pattern? maybe i didn't see it?

I've got the international version of the Tova all taped together now - do you know, my computer still read the document as being 8.5x11", but printed perfectly when I checked the 'auto rotate and centre' box. (Wondering if I was the only person who wasn't clever enough to make the original file print on A4...??) The paper pattern itself looks so pretty, never mind the top!

Anna,

Please address all of your customer service questions to info(at)shopwiksten(dot)com. If you bought the pattern on the 7th, then you have the version that works for both A4 and letter papers. You need to choose A4 as the paper option in print layout when printing your pattern.

hey,
i just bought the pattern for the tank top and want to try sewing the top.. but i am not so experienced and don't know which kind of fabric will work well with the pattern. can you recommend a certain material? thanks!

Hi Mitzi,

I'd go with something lightweight and drapey like cotton voile or gauze, linen, or bamboo. It won't look as good in stiffer quilting cotton, but it will still work.

Karyn's top is amazingly gorgeous! Must be liberty fabric, eh? I keep coming back just to gaze at it - sigh, it's so beautiful.

Hi Jenny, I just ordered the downloadable Tova pattern and it worked like a charm!! I am so excited to get started. I was thinking the other day that it is so hard to find a good pants pattern. You should do one of those too :). So happy you are selling these!!!
