I couldn't watch the whole thing because I already started crying one minute in. He looked like a very happy, very lucky little man.

oh that is such a beautiful tribute to your kitty. I hope your other cat isn't feeling too lonely without Seymour, they look so cute together. Its so tough being a cat parent sometimes but the joy always outlasts the sorrow.

What a beautiful video! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who takes a million pictures of her cats. It's good to have pictures of them - an instant reminder of all the joy they give us.

I recently had a horrible scare with my cat, Frances. She had to have an emergency surgery that cost way more money than I have but it was worth it. I slept on the couch for over a week so I could keep her company while monitoring her. She wasn't allowed to run or jump for 3 weeks so I had to make her a little bed on the floor near a heater.

I'm so so so sorry for your loss. I wish he would've pulled through. Your video made me cry my eyes out because I know that level of love and sadness. Thank you so much for sharing with your readers.

I don't know what to say, everything seems not enough. So, a poem (it's my favorite) for Seymour instead. He must have been very special.

Oh Jenny. What a lovely tribute to Seymour. What a cutie he was. I love the picture of him sleeping on your head.

I'm thinking about you, Joe and Sophia. It's hard to lose a family member. I hope you're able to spend more and more time remembering your good times together and less time feeling sadness. x

Hi Jenny. I've never commented on your blog before, but all of your posts on Seymour have compelled me to open up. Seymour was a beautiful cat, and looks so sweet and precious in these photos. My boyfriend and I lost our kitty just this week. She was only 6. She was my bf's best friend for many years. I can't believe how suddenly it happened. One day she was here, meowing at us to get out of bed, greeting us when we would get home, or perching on her favorite high spot looking out at the squirrels and birds. And now she's gone. We were with her when she passed, and it was one of the most traumatic, but meaningful, experiences of my life. The tension of unconditional love and sorrow is almost too much to bear, but makes life beautiful. I wish you peace and serenity!

I'm so sorry Jenny, I missed the news about Seymour. What a sweet guy. I hope Sophia is doing ok... I know my cats would feel the loss if one passed away(even though they usually ignore each other) so I can only imagine how much harder it is for you guys.

What a sweet and handsome cat. I collected all the photos I had in a little album when my cat, Pergie, died two years ago. It's lovely to look back at and it really helps to get you to the place where you can remember the good times more than the painful ending. Looks like Seymour had a very contented life with you.

this is such a beautiful tribute to seymour. it is clear he lived a very good life full of love and compassion - a lucky kitty. seymour's markings on his nose - the split colours, reminds me of a cat i had when i was younger. her name was nugget, because she had lots of golden tones. poor kitty that wasn't the pretties of names : ) her nose was half golden and half black. thank you for sharing seymour with us x

Jenny,

I have followed your blog for many years, admired your work, and loved all of your kitty-related posts. I'm so sorry to hear about your precious Seymour. It is so heartbreaking when you have to say goodbye to a beloved pet. You have created a beautiful tribute to such a wonderful cat. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

It's the first time I'm here on your blog, but I'm sad for what happened to you. I am a cat mommy too, and unfortunately in the past ten months or so I have lost three cats. I know the sadness and the sense of loss, pets are precious companions, they can reach the deepest part of us. Sleep well, little one. Now he's ok. There was probably the need of a gentle cat's soul someplace else. Hugs to you.

This was so sweet Jenny. I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved pet is so hard. One of the hardest things I have ever been through. But what a beautiful tribute. Reminds me that I need to take more photographs of my Bailly girl!

Jenny, this is such a moving, beautiful tribute to Seymour. I love the music you chose to accompany all of your memories. There were so many photos that made me tear up because they reminded me so much of my cat Oliver. Especially the one where Seymour is lying high on your chest, wrapped near your neck. Ollie loves to sleep on me like that too; the night I gave birth to Eloise, during my worst contractions, he slept around my belly and licked my face. I hope you are doing okay.

Oh, man. I am bawling right now and know exactly what you're going through. I had to stop myself from going through every single folder of photos on my computer looking for pictures of Winston because it just led to endless crying. But, the missing just pervades your brain.

This is such a sweet tribute. He looks like he was a real lover.
