He was beautiful. :)
I couldn't watch the whole thing because I already started crying one minute in. He looked like a very happy, very lucky little man.
oh that is such a beautiful tribute to your kitty. I hope your other cat isn't feeling too lonely without Seymour, they look so cute together. Its so tough being a cat parent sometimes but the joy always outlasts the sorrow.
ahh, cuteness! this nearly brought a tear to my eye and i've never even met seymour.
What a handsome guy. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm going to go squeeze my kitties extra hard.
such a sweet video , i am amazed you had the strength to compile it .what a wonderful cat he was! i send love to you and joe ( and sophia)
oh jenny, he was such a total sweetheart. i'm so sorry this is how things ended. <33
I loved the photo of him squishing Sophia in her cat carrier. What a sweet boy, hope the video makes you smile every time.
A loving and lovely tribute to your sweet fur-face. Thinking of you and Joe and wishing you comfort in the wonderful memories you have.
What a beautiful video! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who takes a million pictures of her cats. It's good to have pictures of them - an instant reminder of all the joy they give us.I recently had a horrible scare with my cat, Frances. She had to have an emergency surgery that cost way more money than I have but it was worth it. I slept on the couch for over a week so I could keep her company while monitoring her. She wasn't allowed to run or jump for 3 weeks so I had to make her a little bed on the floor near a heater. I'm so so so sorry for your loss. I wish he would've pulled through. Your video made me cry my eyes out because I know that level of love and sadness. Thank you so much for sharing with your readers.
oh, such a sweet love-filled video. and perfect song. i'm so sorry for your loss, jenny.
aw, i love little seymour cuddling around your head and his happy face. sorry for y'all's loss. xoxo
The fog comeson little cat feet.It sits lookingover harbor and cityon silent haunchesand then moves on.-Carl SandburgI don't know what to say, everything seems not enough. So, a poem (it's my favorite) for Seymour instead. He must have been very special.
Oh Jenny. What a lovely tribute to Seymour. What a cutie he was. I love the picture of him sleeping on your head. I'm thinking about you, Joe and Sophia. It's hard to lose a family member. I hope you're able to spend more and more time remembering your good times together and less time feeling sadness. x
love IS love . . .no way around it!may your heart heal
Hi Jenny. I've never commented on your blog before, but all of your posts on Seymour have compelled me to open up. Seymour was a beautiful cat, and looks so sweet and precious in these photos. My boyfriend and I lost our kitty just this week. She was only 6. She was my bf's best friend for many years. I can't believe how suddenly it happened. One day she was here, meowing at us to get out of bed, greeting us when we would get home, or perching on her favorite high spot looking out at the squirrels and birds. And now she's gone. We were with her when she passed, and it was one of the most traumatic, but meaningful, experiences of my life. The tension of unconditional love and sorrow is almost too much to bear, but makes life beautiful. I wish you peace and serenity!
I'm so sorry Jenny, I missed the news about Seymour. What a sweet guy. I hope Sophia is doing ok... I know my cats would feel the loss if one passed away(even though they usually ignore each other) so I can only imagine how much harder it is for you guys.
A beautiful tribute to a special friend. Be well, Jenny.
What a sweet and handsome cat. I collected all the photos I had in a little album when my cat, Pergie, died two years ago. It's lovely to look back at and it really helps to get you to the place where you can remember the good times more than the painful ending. Looks like Seymour had a very contented life with you.
...hard to watch...such a beautiful tribute. My eyes are full of tears and need to hug my cats now.Take care - x
So sweet. What a lovely way to honour his memory.
I can literally smell the heat from his fur...
He was a beautiful boy and he looked very happy x
I started off happily smiling and at 0.55 I had tears. I love the photos of you and Seymour together, especially those earlier ones.
Heartbreaking .. You poor thing
this is such a beautiful tribute to seymour. it is clear he lived a very good life full of love and compassion - a lucky kitty. seymour's markings on his nose - the split colours, reminds me of a cat i had when i was younger. her name was nugget, because she had lots of golden tones. poor kitty that wasn't the pretties of names : ) her nose was half golden and half black. thank you for sharing seymour with us x
It's easy both to see why you loved him and that you loved him deeply from this beautiful video. Thank you for sharing it.
What a sweet sweet cat, Jenny. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. He looked like he was a comforting, cuddly cat. Those pictures are really heart warming. xoxo
Jenny,I have followed your blog for many years, admired your work, and loved all of your kitty-related posts. I'm so sorry to hear about your precious Seymour. It is so heartbreaking when you have to say goodbye to a beloved pet. You have created a beautiful tribute to such a wonderful cat. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
It's the first time I'm here on your blog, but I'm sad for what happened to you. I am a cat mommy too, and unfortunately in the past ten months or so I have lost three cats. I know the sadness and the sense of loss, pets are precious companions, they can reach the deepest part of us. Sleep well, little one. Now he's ok. There was probably the need of a gentle cat's soul someplace else. Hugs to you.
This was so sweet Jenny. I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved pet is so hard. One of the hardest things I have ever been through. But what a beautiful tribute. Reminds me that I need to take more photographs of my Bailly girl!
so moving, that tears are coming down from my eyes....From this selection of pictures, you can understand that Seymour was happy to share his life with you...xx Alessandra
Oh, honey. I don't know you, and I didn't know Seymour, but this is such a loving, moving tribute to a cat who was clearly a dear part of your life. I'm so sorry for your loss. Seymour was clearly a fantastic (and photogenic!) cat.
Dear JennyIm so sorry for your loss.I have a cat as well, he is my ginger love. I cannot even imagine how difficult it must be to say goodby.Lovely selection of pictures and a wonderful tribute. All the best .Ola
from one former kansas citian to another: such a sweet tribute to your seymour. my kitty heart is broken!
I am so sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing with us how special your kitty was, or actually is!!!
My heart goes out to you. So sorry for your loss. Our friendships with animals are special and irreplaceable. But Seymour was lucky to find you and you him.
Jenny, this is such a moving, beautiful tribute to Seymour. I love the music you chose to accompany all of your memories. There were so many photos that made me tear up because they reminded me so much of my cat Oliver. Especially the one where Seymour is lying high on your chest, wrapped near your neck. Ollie loves to sleep on me like that too; the night I gave birth to Eloise, during my worst contractions, he slept around my belly and licked my face. I hope you are doing okay.
I am so sorry about your loss. I have three cats and know how much a part of the family they become.Such a touching video!
Oh, man. I am bawling right now and know exactly what you're going through. I had to stop myself from going through every single folder of photos on my computer looking for pictures of Winston because it just led to endless crying. But, the missing just pervades your brain. This is such a sweet tribute. He looks like he was a real lover.
He had a good life and he was dearly loved, and thats's really all any of us can ask, right? xx
I am very sorry for your loss. A special cat, indeed. Blessings and peace to you three.SincerelyJenny x
Such a sweet tribute to your cat...it is amazing what joy they can bring to our lives. Thoughts and prayers for you during this tough time.
I was just catching up with you blog and watched your video. He looked like such a happy cat. Couldn't help but shed a little tear about all my old pets watching this and I hope you're doing ok. X
