Fact: I have always wanted a grey kitten. One of my favorite books as a child was Jenny's Surprise Summer, in which a little girl finds a grey kitten in a cave at the beach and takes him home. My very own grey kitten has beautiful eyes the color of sea glass. His favorite thing in life is food, and he pretty much always has food on his nose or chin (see top photo). Since these pictures were taken he's grown a very round, very chubby belly. It's pretty apparent that we're going to be contending with a lifelong fight against obesity with this guy. What else can I say? He has an unrequited love for Sophia. He's purring in my arms as I write this because he's a gentle, loving guy. Cuddles with us every night, and even during the day when Joe is so tired he passes out in his scrubs (see third and fourth photos). Every toy I give him inevitably ends up in his water dish. Sometimes he brings me gifts of sopping wet toy mice. He loves to be picked up and held and is just pretty laid back, meaning I think I've finally found a cat I can dress up. Just kidding, sort of.

Oh boy, sopping wet mice are THE BEST. Especially when they wake you up in the middle of the night as you quickly think they just threw up on you....
He's so f*ing cute!!
One of the prettiest kitters I've ever seen. I love his name.
(oh how I wish I wasn't allergic...)
what an adorable kitty! I dream of having one some day. Hopefully he will be as loving and snugly as him because I love cuddling with my pets.
He's beautiful. :)
i'm already in love with him. any cat that loves snuggles and looks as adorable as your little wolf here is a-ok with me. <333!!

wolf looks so sweet!
Awww. He's a character. I can't believe that he gets food on his chin and nose - cats are usually so clean!
I loved 'Jenny's Surprise Summer' as a kid!
what a sweetie! he has really pretty eyes!
So cute!!!!!!
Nothing beats a grey kitty. I truly believe there is something about them that makes them extra sweet and affectionate. What a cute little guy.
hihi! He is so cute! I know what you mean about dressing him up, I dreamt about sewing a flowery cape for my former white cat, to wear at my wedding :)
Aw, he's adorable! And a real beauty! And it sounds like he is doing the two of you a lot of good :)
These posts slay me.
oh my gawd, I die of cute. SIGH - KITTENS!!!
He is too cute! And those eyes!..gorgeous :D
Aw, I have a grey kitty and I love her so so dearly. I also feel like we were made to be together because I wear grey so much that the fur doesn't show so badly when I walk out the door in the morning.
Have fun with your new kittens... I always say that baby animals were the entertainment before people had tv. It's so fun watching them play and explore their new world.
Cuteness overload. Hes so adorable, the eyes and color. Got my eye on your next post for fox now.
Ollie was like that with food too. When we adopted him, he weighed less than 2 lbs., and I remember he would dive into his food so fast and enthusiastically, his little hind quarters would practically lift up as he ate. Flash forward seven years, and yes, we are fighting the good fight of a major addiction to dry food. I bet Sophia will start returning his love soon, in the begrudging way of an older cat who surrenders to kitten cuteness. So happy to see how Wolf and Fox have brought some sweetness and peace to your home after your loss of Seymour.
i love grey cats the best (next to torties, of course), and wolf has beautiful markings. there is nothing better than cat cuddles!
Ug, so cute! Seriously, you're lucky you aren't one cat short after my visit...
How lovely! He really does look quite wolf-like in the second photo.
i think...you and these three (wolf, fox & sophia) could very easily be the subject of a beautiful children's book. so simple, but so sweet.
What a darling little one! We just rescued our first kitten, Zelda, and are having so much fun with her.
he is pretty cute - i wonder if he knows this about himself already.
=^.^=
How the nature can grow something so cute and something so wonderful. And paint that fur in those small details.
He must be a very happy boy.
Oh my, adorable!
I love all the beautiful colours and textures in your home in the last few posts. Very warm, inviting, and inspiring!
what a cute little guy!
there is love in your house!
I also loved that book as a little girl, what a perfect little kitten he is!
