I have some exciting news for those of you that like to sew! Original Wiksten prints are now available on Spoonflower. So far there are 8 designs, 2 new ones and the rest from my previous clothing collections. You can choose to order the prints in different fabrics such as linen, cotton, or silk. I've used the silk crepe de chine for some of my collections, and I always wash it on cold and dry it in the dryer before cutting to preshrink and soften it up. It fades a little but is still very pretty. I used the cotton voile (washed and dried) also for my SS2012 collection and ended up lining it since it was slightly sheer. I've also made a pillow out of the Succulent print on white using the linen/cotton canvas.
My former intern Amy Albright painted the Succulent prints and the Watercolor Triangle print. I showed her inspiration images and color choices to work from and gave her the afternoon to experiment. Then I picked what I liked and added a colored background to one of them. It was a really fun process. The Striped Khadi print and Arrow print are my own designs, but my favorite of the prints is the one that Helen Dealtry and I collaborated and turned into 3 different colorways.

So excited Jenny! I wish I could sew some tops with these, but a pillow is totally doable.

This is a dream come true, Jenny. Time for me to learn how to sew silk!

The succulent on white is the lovliest fabric I've ever seen...
This is so exciting! i've loved your prints and while I do not sew myself, I tend to use dressmakers where I live. Do you ship internationally?

Ohh thank you!! I'm going to order somoe!
Wow! So nice to be able to choose your own cloth to print onto - it always annoys me to find exactly the print I want but on the wrong type of fabric. Spoonflower even have organic cottons, don't they?
I have ordered some already! Woo hoo. Will take a while to get here in UK but I can't wait. I am soo glad that you are doing this!!
