I have a new knitting pattern for sale on my website! Snöflinga is the Swedish word for “snowflake”, which is the inspiration
for the hat’s details—its bobbles and patterned crown shaping are
evocative of falling snow. I love knitting bobbles more than anything, and this slouchy beanie is so easy/fun to knit (and wear).
Something else I'm excited about is that I'm teaching a knitting class for the pattern at Home Ec Workshop in Iowa City over the next two weeks. Mondays, November 5&12, 6-8PM. $35, supplies not included. The pattern is free with the class. This is the first knitting class I've taught, and I think it will be super fun to hang out and knit hats. You can view Home Ec's November class schedule and more specific details about my class here.

Oooh how I love that crown shaping, and I share you affection for bobbles. I'm happy you're putting out the pattern! Now if I can only find the time to knit one for myself...
That's such a sweet hat, Jenny. Do you do any machine knitting at all? I got a basic machine on Ebay a little while ago, and the machine-knitting-pattern world *desperately* needs some Wiksten!
How wonderful! I just saw the first flecks of snow in Toronto today. If this is anything like your other patterns, I suspect it will knit itself. Thank you for this! CA
Oh, this is so exciting. I knit the fjord hat you published with Brooklyn Tweed, but I think I might just like this one even more. Such a sweet hat. Can't wait to knit it. Lovely patterns, great job Jenny.
so lovely... hopefully i´ll find time to start knitting soon! and you´re such a beautiful model...
yippee! i almost sent you an email last week to ask if you'd be posting a pattern for this lovely hat... now i've just purchased it, thanks :)
okay, we all know the hat is great, but Jenny, what I *have* to comment on is what a stunning model you are! I wonder if you'd let me use one of your photos as a basis for a painting one of these days, when my dissertation is done and my life is (sort of) my own again?
I wish you could teach a class in Chicago!
Do you think you could tell me what size needles this pattern requires? I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and i'm looking for a good pattern to take with me, but I want to make sure I have the right size needles!! Thanks :)
Good Job. This is lovely.
Mary, the gauge is 18 stitches per 4" using a US size 8 needle and US size 6 for the brim.
I really like this hat (I really like them all but especially this one!). I think I need to buy the pattern! It's so lovely. What yarn are you using? Brooklyn Tweed?
