mittens yarn

The yarn I used for the Cozy Purl Ridge Mittens is Puno by Rauma.  It's a Norwegian yarn, so unfortunately it's very hard to find in the U.S.  I got mine here, in case you're looking for it.  It's really cushy and soft, perfect for a pair of cozy mittens.

Thank you so much for posting the source of this yarn!

Based on the yarn's yardage and the mittens pattern yardage, it looked like you used just about the entire skein to make the mittens. Is this correct?

Awesome, thanks! What is the orange and blue variegated yarn you used for your other mittens? Thanks!

Hi Claire,

Yes, I used almost an entire skein. There was a little bit left.

nocreamcorn,

The blue and orange were two strands of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool held together, using size 6 and size 8 needles.

Thanks for the link. Is this the yarn that you used for your striped mittens?

Hi Amber F,

No, I used Brooklyn Tweed Shelter for the striped mittens.

It's a lovely yarn with so many beautiful colours. I live in Norway and I go "oh and ah" over the Quince & co. yarn, so I guess we will always want what it hard to get ;)

This looks like so much fun. On my site, we have a lot of hand made boutique style items and every once in a while, we are lucky enough to get yarn style items.
